Financial Options and Dental insurance
Our goal is to provide premium dental care at a fair fee making a beautiful, healthy smile available to all patients. We do everything possible to help you afford the treatment you need and want.
Our dental insurance specialist is highly trained in handling your dental insurance by staying abreast of the latest trends in dental coverage, assuring that your insurance claims are accurately submitted with photographs, quality x-rays, and narratives to maximize dental insurance reimbursements. To save yourself time, we will obtain insurance coverage tables, deductible information, co-payment amounts, and coverage specifics prior to your first dental appointment. After making your first appointment, simply copy both sides of your insurance card and fax it to (706) 327-8644. Our payment options include: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Care Credit, checks and of course cash.
Care Credit is an offsite credit program offered specifically to help our patients afford beautiful dentistry. The application system is quick and easy with approval decided in the office in only a few minutes.

For Your Comfort
We realize comfort is a major desire when experiencing dental procedures and our goal is to provide you with a pain free dental visit. We take great pride in offering numerous amenities that enhance a comfortable dental experience. Dental pain is easily controlled and we offer many options for pain control including sedation gas (nitrous oxide), slow access dental analgesics, and non-injected gel and liquid anesthesia. Our exam rooms were designed with your peace of mind considered. We offer warming blankets, relaxation CD’s, bean bag adjustable head rests, and aromatherapy. If you prefer, you can watch one of our seventy five television channels in each treatment room while having your teeth restored.
Whether you arrive early or chose to stay and read in our “living room”, we offer a variety of coffee and hot chocolate products at our coffee bar as well as cool spring water and juice. Large picture windows show off the beautiful landscaping designed to attract area wildlife. Feel free to stay and watch the birds frolic on the birdfeeders or the squirrels playfully “fighting” in the backyard.
Your First Appointment
During your first experience in our dental office you will quickly see that affordable, premium, and beautiful dental care is our focus. Each patient has their own desires for dental treatment and we aim to meet the desires of each patient.
The first appointment is scheduled for approximately one hour with Dr. Wilkey and his co-therapy dental assistant to comprehensively evaluate your dental needs using state of the art digital radiographs and technology.
An oral cancer examination is conducted to check your throat, neck lymph nodes, and intraoral mucosa for any suspicious lesions. A charting of your existing conditions including all previous dental work is charted as well as an examination for cavities, broken or fractured restorations, and integrity of existing restorations.
Intraoral photographs will be taken to allow each patient to view what we view. An assessment of your bite is conducted as well as an evaluation of any muscular problems in or around the mouth.
We are proud to say we follow the
American Dental Associations guidelines for assessing new patients. Best of all, there is no additional charge for these extra services. All of these extra services are included in the comprehensive examination dental code.
Recycling
We care about our environment and work hard to recycle. We are currently recycling paper, magazines, junk mail, cardboard, plastics, styrofoam and glass. We of course do not recycle anything pertaining to patient care.
Ministry
We are also blessed to be able to help the most unfortunate members of our society, the homeless. Dr. Wilkey and his staff provide free dentistry to the residents of
The Gatehouse Mission. This is a Christian drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility in Junction City, GA., ministering to the area homeless who suffer from additions. We found this mission through chance, wanting to help someone during Christmas of 2009. We have been blessed to get to know Pastor Paul Meacham, his staff, and the residents of
The Gatehouse Mission who have shared their testimonies with us and continue to enrich our lives.
